Same-sex marriage/unions

It looks like John McCain was on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Given that he "opposes gay marriage and believes in 'the unique status of marriage between and man and a woman.'" that could have been a tricky interview. I didn't see it, but I read about it here.

I watched the MSNBC video which called the moment awkward, but it didn't look awkward to me. McCain respectfully disagreed with Ellen's position that Same-sex couple should be allow to marry, not just form "unions". I applaud him for, and support him in standing up for his belief in marriage.
